Thanks for the comments. I am not an astronaut. This photo was made from inside a commercial airplane flying from Chicago to Hawaii, where I live. I made a number of similar shots along the way and grouped them in a gallery called "Topography Series" on my photoblog. (They are still posted if you are interested in seeing others.) The EXIF data for this photo are: ISO 100, 1/250, f/9.0, 18mm of 18-55mm. The photo was made over a portion of the Rocky Mountains.
