One of the great things about WeeklyShot is the diversity of cultures and languages, but that is also perplexing at times. Now I don't know who the photographer is, but because I can't see that this fits the theme, my hunch is that the photographer is not a native english speaker. I have probably put my my foot in my mouth again. Maybe the point of the photo has flown over my head.
This is a pleasant photo of blue water ripples, but doesn't seem to be very sharp.

Hey, Rusty, help me get my foot out of my mouth! What's going on here, California dude?

ImagoArticulus said 530 days ago:

Hi King,

Yes, the sharpness (or lack thereof) is abysmal.

As for what's going on... it's a *strange view* (i.e., unusual perspective) of water in a swimming pool. Nothing heavy going on at all. I'm not making any kind of political, religious, or cultural statement whatsoever.

King said 530 days ago:

It may not be a religious statement, but it's zen-like.

uvikidd said 530 days ago:

i can't find exactly the perspective here.

ImagoArticulus said 530 days ago:

Okay, I'll confess - it's a post-modern interpretation of the zen-like meta narrative of the goodness of water which is existentially related to the liberal mantra of warmer ice due, in part, to the pervasive bad karma of captialism and CO2.

Or... it's a spot where a kid can do a cannonball.

King said 530 days ago:

I vote for cannonball!

this is a pretty photograph, and I love the swirls and texture.

Well, here's one that took the theme description literally: not the subject but the perspective is in focus. Thanx for remembering that, whoever you are.

And the blues are just awesome!!!

Besides the fact that I love the colors.
For me, the perspective seems to shift every time
I look at it.
I would hang this photo in my home in a heart-beat.

Very pretty.... not 100% sure if this is overly unusual, but I have it very strong marks because of its beauty. I especially enjoy the different shades in the concentric circles of the "splashes".

Imago... I laughed like crazy when I read the "post modern interpretation..." comment. Wonderful! Thank you for the added benefit of your fun comment in addition to the very pleasant picture.
