I love this shot.
Tones and all.

At first I found this image a little confusing. It's growing on me though. There is definitely a moment caught here.

If the rider was not dead centre and a little less blurred I'd love it!

Oh this is perfect for the theme! I get a real sense of a fleeting moment, and it is very well-captured. This looks almost two beautiful to be an accident! Also, nice choice to use black and white for this image. (I gave you 5's on everything.)

Looks like you were planning to photograph the horse/carriage, and then that bike came by at exactly the right moment and you got this shot. And it is much cooler than just the horse/carriage one would have been. This IS a case of elements happening to come together by chance in front of the lens...and resulting in a very nice image. That is my understanding of what this incredibly subjective theme is all about.

Thank you for the comments everyone. This was shot with my Olympus XA rangefinder using Portra 400NC film at San Francisco's 100th anniversary parade of the great earthquake. In all actuality I did try to capture the juxtoposition of the two means of "transportation". As if to say that technology is rapidly moving. Using film, I didn't instantly know whether I captured it or not and it was the only shot I took (the XA is manually advanced). I did do some cropping & converstion in PS.
