I think the woman on the right works well with the shot. Everything on the left is upright and higher while everything on the right is lower. Your eyes flow from the tree, the woman to the spot where the man is bending over. Almost like it's a graph.

zorilla: there is compositional continuity because the woman on the left is smoking, with her back turned, while the bent man is scrounging cigarettes off the sidewalk (and is being observed by another woman as he does so).

Why this photograph isn't "featured" is a mystery to me.

The users submit a rating and/or a comment and your photograph fits the "criteria", it will be featured. I think it might have to have something to do with the confusion on what this theme is about. It should be featured in my opinion but who am I? :)

Simply put. Brilliant!

Stellar. This one works on so many levels for me and definitely fits the theme. I love the character flow from left to right with a slight stop in the middle on the woman's face. The "life's easier down here" text follows the moment to the punch line and adds multiple levels of commentary. Superb.

Looks like he is checking the "easiness of life down there". Excellent shot.
