Yeah - I was feeling like I'd lost my focus that day.....

There is a mood to the image I really like given only the small portion of your face shown and to me it speaks volumes.

I recognize this eye! This is a close up (I think) from the same series that produced this:

Now, Arne, I must ask you what your intentions are here, because I know this photograph has been carefully crafted. I can't give you very high marks, because I don't think it carries enough weight in the various categories, and one can't really make out enough of the person, unless one out-of-focus eye is all we need to know about you.

@King
This photo is crom a completely different series - different camera and was on film. It's really hard to hand hold a manual focused camera (M645) with extension tubes pointed back at your face.... haha
The intent here was to create a really crisp image of my eye - although out of focus and a tad blown out - I really liked it. Outa focus - yeah - I'm not a perfectionist and my style seems to be leading towards darker murkier slightly blurred work - so maybe this is why I feel so unfocused sometimes :)
It ended up being the favicon.ico for my website.

Arne,
Did you ever see the Woody Allen film where Woody plays a movied director (himself, I guess) who has lost his focus. He says, "I feel so out of focus." During these scenes, his image is blurry and he is the only part of the motion picture frame that is out of focus. It is hillarious.
As for your style gitting darkier and murkier...I think our style becomes something like our handwritten signature. It becomes what it is, and that's that. Same goes for drawing, for example. Unless you are Picasso, it is likely that your "line" is like your signature and will stay with you for life, maturing along the way, one hopes.
Thanks for explaining your thoughts on this photo.

this is pretty cool....but I'd like that left side cropped closer to your face, and a tad brighter.
