This is fantastic and a superb submission for the theme. The selective focus is on one narrow thorn, as thin as the point itself. Excellent technique and great lines.

Very nice image....great use of the selective focus but the eye is still able to follow the lines of the plant which is great.

Wow, this one is so sharp, that it hurt my eyes, but my eyes are very tired, but that meant is a compliment. Amazing DOF.

I like this! The colors and shapes are outstanding. My only nit-pick is that my eye keeps going to the very light area in the lower right.

yea i agree with junior, it lacks sharpness in the part that is suppose to be sharp. I think it doesn't have enough DOF, but than again the contest was to shoot with the lens wide open lol.
so i'll just shut up
