A portrait of bleakness. All so angular, but for one lone tire.
I bet he is finding some cool stuff.

bioLarzen said 500 days ago:

He has, I guess - this one was taken like 20 minutes ago and he left already with two hands' load of worthy crap :)

I like the old time photo feel of this one, and the way you got the passer-by checking out the guy by the dumpster.

Ana said 500 days ago:

He sure looks smartly dressed from someone going through the trash.

Hummingbird said 500 days ago:

I like everything about the composition of this.

bioLarzen said 500 days ago:

Thanx everyone!

Even the most ordinary things can be striking. I caught myself looking at this image way longer than I thought I would. I love the movement your framing made with the bricks. All the lines of the arhitecture are really interesting. And yes I'm wondering what that man is doing in the dumpster too.

bioLarzen said 500 days ago:

I'm flattered. Thank you.

What this man was doing here is, i guess, what he seems to be doing: fishing for "treasure". I think his attire looks a bit smarter than this guy really is...

The really sad thing is that this pic was taken from my own room's window - which means this is the street view I get every time I look out of it...

How *really* dishartening a vista this house opposite ours is might be better seen here:

This one is another shot I took today but finally decided on the one I submitted...

bioLarzen said 500 days ago:

I see a submitted pic has been removed - I assume by the request of it's submitter.

I hope it's not someone leaving us again... But I've got a foreboding...

I like the man looking back over his shoulder.

Redchilli said 499 days ago:

well done!

mysight said 499 days ago:

I like that other picture of the place across the street from you.
There is beauty there for me,but of course I don't live right by it.

bioLarzen said 499 days ago:

Belive me, there's everything but beauty there...

King said 499 days ago:

Here's a photo that I want to like, yet don't because the photographer appears to be self-consciously creating tension with the crop and tilt that the photo doesn't need. Now if this is full frame, that's another thing, and I apologize because this image has a lot going for it. It's also a bit contrasty to no good effect. I don't mean to sound grumpy--cause I'm not--just offering honest feedback.

King said 499 days ago:

Hey, Gabor...my critique sounds like the one I gave the three art objects. You seem to have developed a style of composition that turns me off. :>) Sorry about that! LOL

bioLarzen said 499 days ago:

King, no problemo. Tastes differ.

And, before i forget: no tilting at post procession.

King said 499 days ago:

...but is this full frame?

bioLarzen said 499 days ago:

Yessir.

beckn32 said 496 days ago:

I love that the walker is looking back at the dumpster digger. Nice.

I agree, the observer is a very nice addition. As is the feeling conveyed by the clever usage of lines here. Great work, Gábor!
