I really like this capture. There's a good feeling about it. I just wish I could see more of the facial expressions.

Nicely done. Love that you captured her in the hunched braced position. You caught the moment perfectly because I'm sure she was moving!

This is superb! Might have darkened that ship a bit to make it less a part of the shot, but all around high marks. Great great great.

nice picture, i like the tone in here. correct me if i'm wrong, is there a boat on the street and bicycle in the river?

That image makes quite a splash of impact! If I could see the expressions I imagine they would be fun, which to me is what life's interactions are all about.

@winetou: haha, exactly. This was in Bremen last july, and the summer there (as in the rest of Europe, for that matter) had been completely crazy: after a month of solid rain, the temperatures suddenly went up to 35°C with a cloudless sky. The end result was that the river overflew a bit, and so the path along it was under ~10cm of warm water, to the delight of the local bikers (i.e. 98% of the city population).
Thanks all for your comments.

This is GREAT, really like it a lot. The people are in the water, the boat is on land (or so it seems). This would have been a great shot without the boat, but with it's even better. A real juxtaposition...

i love this :D the black and white is good.. the boat in the back left is a bit annoying though...

I was just clicking on this to comment and presto - it features before I had a chance. Fabulous shot, I can easily see it as part of a series of photos in Life.

Nice capture. Nice processsing. Good work. I especially like that the smaller child is ducking away from the splash. High marks.
