Very unique composition and oh, so relevant to the theme. I love the inclusion of the foot at the bottom. Very well done.

Thanks flipthorn. After reading the comments on similar half-in-frame shots I wasn't going to upload this, but lets see how it goes.

I spent half an hour in the rain taking about 50 shots of this bird today and took this one specifically with this theme in mind.

does this fella have a beak? bet it's tough to get half a bird! well, unless you're eating it!

Definitely half. Not too much impact for me though but only because this type of shot has been done a lot for this theme, by myself included. I guess I am looking for something more unique at this point.

Another half....crop half...All this does is make me want to see the rest of the bird.

Montage said 414 days ago:

Beamer - See my comment above. I wasn't going to bother with this, but decided 'what the hell'.

And you can see the rest of the bird on my site in a coupld of days time ;)

While I really like this image of a bird (presuming a penguin), I tend to think that the image lost a little bit by having the slice across the face not show as much as the rest. The face looks like a bit less than half. For me, I would anticipate the other 1/2 of this image would be perhaps the stronger half to show as more face, more beak, and therefore more "emotional" impact would occur.

Interesting crop.
