This is a beautiful portrait. I'd call it aging gracefully, although he also seems lonely and sad.

I think I would have cropped the left side of the photo out of the shot. The dark shape which appears perhaps to be another person takes away from the impact of the photo I think.

It's not easy to know what is in the mind of somebody and ouf a father. May be he's just tired or he thinks about something sad.

It was even so a funny meal with my brothers and the childs... But maybe the joy gives sadness, and the plate is empty.

The photograph takes an instant.
