The chicken wire is just too strong here to be able to make out what's going on with that guy's face. If the face weren't painted, it would have worked. If the wire was more out of focus, it would have worked. The way it is, even staring at it, I just can't quite make out his features.

I'm just wonderiing if I missed some requirements from the theme description... quite simple: sad eyes with a painted face look thru chicken wire fence. :-))

Very good shot but perhaps a bit too much contrast, it's difficult to figure the details of the face. But I really like the effect with the light reflection on the fence!

Wow. That is an intriguing shot. It certainly makes you want to know the story behind it. I wish we could make out just a little more of the subject's face.

Vernon- Now that I checked out the linked picture of the subject this image is just plain "coyote ugly". LOL. Seriously this is a really cool and stark image that works very well in this theme. OK now excuse me I'm going to go back and appreciate the art of the other image again.

I usually really like Vernon's stuff. With all the raters in addition to myself who had issues with this shot, I'm really surprised it still got featured.

I never would have guessed in million years that was the same face from the curves theme. Maybe because I couldn't see it here.

Congratulations on the feature. Once again, I seem not to get Weekly Shot.

It's not really the expression, but more the paint obscuring her lips, the lines of her face, her eyes and her chin. All you have left are the strong eyes and the line of her nose.... making it appear masculine. It just made me think ,"cave man" right away.
