Nice use of the foreground both for the light and for the sense of scale that it gives to the tall steel structure in the background.
I like the fact that it isn't the only subject in the shot.

@king: Yes! I'm jealous. It's such an amazing city. We were there in the summer, I think I'd like the character of the place even more with fewer visitors and more residents.

This is just too stark for me. I'd really like to see a little more dynamic range. It's hard to tell where the structures end and the sky starts.
