I like the use of negative space in this image. I think the drab colors would lend themselves to a black and white version, which would create an altogether different and in my opinion stronger look. I love that you caught the bird here at this unlikely point.

I don't know what kind of bird this actually is, but I'd definitely say it's a city pigeon.
XXIVXXV, this is the top of a church that's some 75 meters high and the picture was taken from ground level - but from a distance with the full 12* zoom capacity, that's why it might not look like looking up.
Moodeus, you might be right with this black-and-white idea. I liked these dead and faded colours - somehow i felt they add to the message here.
