This has so much impact it almost broke my neck. Wonderful colors and composition. A classic night shot.

Beautiful! I love the way it looks like a sunset, but that star poking through the clouds gives it away. I like the way the clouds seem to come from the tower. Very nice.

Movement nicely captured, well done!

Beautiful colors. The lone tower piercing that sky is what makes this shot. Fantastic.

What is the actual exposure time for this BTW? And did you use any sort of neutral density filter to increase the time? I keep coming back to look at this one and I'd like to try something like it....so if you are willing to share your "tricks" I'd be thrilled ;)

Thanks much for the feedback. Gorin the exposure was a little over 4 minutes and I didn't use an nd filter. In fact I was almost wide open. It was pretty dark and the moon only popped out from behind the clouds at the very end. The actual settings were:
244s - f/4.5 - ISO100 - 17mm(27mm eq) - RAW
Being able to white balance correctly in RAW makes a big difference.

This is excellent, I really enjoy the colors and the motion in the clouds.

panhandlin, thank you for providing the info. All I can say is Holy Moly...that's the freakin MOON! I thought it was the sun and this was a long exposure of a late sunset. That is what I love so much about this type of image...it blows all perception of time and real-world environmental factors, and lets you see the world in a totally different way. I look forward to attempting a shot like this soon.

I really like this alot. What's great is that there's a stationary object here,so itmakes all that long-exposure motion blur so much more surreal.
