@Beamer: actually, this is the best I managed to do, at 13mm and back to the wall... As for the highlights, I don't see them blown at all (I'll check on the original file tomorrow), except on the part just below the window.
It was taken in the Santa Catalina convent of Arequipa, Peru, which has been operating since the sixteenth century and in which countless women have lived and died without ever going outside. I tried to get some of the contrast between this secluded place and the lively city just out of the walls in this photography.

Nice framing. This could stand a little lens correction, and slightly lower contrast, but overall a good entry

I might have cropped the top of the window off...some distractions through there. The light on the bricks is nice, and without the top of the window, it adds some mystery to the composition.

Nice, very nice subject. Lots of impact/interest. I would like to see more room on the right and bottom to give the eye a little running room as it flows diagonally down thru the image. And, I wish the highlights weren't quite so blown.
