He wanted me to take a picture of the tangerines he had just picked. He was three years old this time last year, and was quite enamoured by my ability to record things (though not yet actions) photographically.

You are a good daddy, and good for him, recognizing that his dad has a talent and wanting to share in that. At what age will you give him a camera of his own? Have you let him experiment with one of yours yet?

I gave him his first camera for Hannukah this year. It's interesting he's ultimately more fascinated by objects than people or actions, but that's to be expected at this point in his emotional development.

Of course, I ended up compiling his shots of faces and motion, I just think they're more fun in the long run.

Flatline...very neat thanks. I think I would have *loved* to be taking my own photos by the time I was about 6 years old. Add the instant gratification of digital--wow!
