Great concept, but this image has the relevance out of focus. The cards are the focal point for me.

the lighting is very stark, and the edge of those chips in front might have been cropped. but otherwise, this is great. very relevant.

"Cigarettes and whiskey and wild, wild women." Two out of three ain't bad.

Points off for the cigarette (I detest cigarettes), the two featureless chip blobs at the bottom and the blocked up highlight on the coaster. Otherwise, top notch. Marks are high enough to help this get featured.

Just did a little exercise - Of the 27 posts I have made to WS Ana has commented on 15 of them and King has commented on 14 of them. More than half for both. Thanks for your regular input :)
Incidently I am not a fan of cigarettes either. I am sorry I made my brother hold this for 20 mins while I set it up. Nothing like suffering for your art.

Nice, different take no the theme. The similar shot that I was planning was to have the camera looking over the shoulder of the person holding the cards, so you could see their hand.

The contrasting shadows on the hands make this an image I feel like looking at again and again.

I love this shot! The hands could be a little more in focus, but it is great when an image evocates all kinds of smells, sounds and tastes just by the viewing.

Thanks Hummingbird. You win some and you loose some. Hmm I've already said that. I think it is fair to say that a few of the pre 13 voters were esp rough on this one. If everyone voted how the post 13 voters had it would have featured. Oh well. C'est la vie.
