In the movie "The Sixth Sense", none of the ghosts the boy saw were transparent, so I saw no reason to assume that ghosts need to be transparent, either you see them or you don't.
I felt this one was showing that "Catherine" longs to join her lost loved ones, who had long since crossed over, yet she has been relegated to roaming the cemetary grounds alone with no peace.
"Catherine" isn't quite as young as you may think, but thanks for that compliment, she is me.

First off- lovely image... beautiful coloring... however, I think I would have made the girl trasparent- make her more ghost-like... she seems too young to be mourning over such an old grave...
