Thinking of this as a farell makes me sad, as though the man's close to death. I'm finding the woman's expression a little confusing though. It almost looks as though she's trying to take a bite out of him.

Very high marks.

This image is exquisite in many aspects. The genuine expressions of the subjects hearkens straight to the viewer's heart. The situation can remind each viewer of something painful and heartfelt.

The composition adds to this feeling by confining the viewer's eye to the confinement of angst. And the low contrast yet wide tonal range adds to the mood of the piece. The over the shoulder head position of the comforter being slightly rejected by the subject is the drama that puts this image in a very select class of imagery.

I did not rate this image, but would have stated that it does not really deserve a numeric rating, but stands completely on its own merits and poignant message.

One final element I forgot to add. The universal nature of this image at some point in every individual's life makes this so powerful.
