Interesting. A little too sharp at the chin, but I like the high-key and the over-saturated eyes.

Very intense look here. The eyes are almost too blue on the verge of looking fake. Perhaps he is just blessed with those eyes, but I sense PS had something to do with it. I like the strong lighting.

the fact that his eyes are SO blue, really make this more about the eyes than the whole face. but I really like this as a portrait.

sure, I did some work on it and the extra sharpness can also be from the USM applied after resizing it for upload.
The image (tamron 90mm macro lens) is very sharp from itself..
His eyes though are quite blue. I did lighten them up a little, but really not that much. Besides that I just removed a piece of wood in the left top corner..
Anyhow, personally this is one of my favorite portraits as it shows him as the though dude he only is in role-playing games..;)

great expression. just a personal opinion, but im personally not a fan of the technique of over saturating one part of the body and desaturating other parts. but the expression alone makes me give this high marks.
