Thanks all. The washed out look was intended. I wanted it to be somewhat high key. I blended a slightly softened, overexposed, layer with the original layer, and masked the eyes to retain their original color and detail.

ArneG...Ahh yes youth! This is my youngest son. He was 13 when I shot this last summer. I had to sneak up on him to get it. He hates getting his picture taken. I always have to catch him unsuspecting.

I really like this shot. I think that the coloring is great. I think it would be strengthened if the eyes were more in focus and not the hair. Great shot though!

Thanks all for the great feedback. The way I got this shot I was amazed that anything was in focus! It was a sneak up and get him to turn around shot.

I don't know why it's not featured it's the highest I've ever scored on any shot that I've had featured to date.
