I might have been really neat keep color in the pupil and take the color out of the rest of the picture. The color of the eye is so powerful.

The colour of the eye is the redeeming factor in this photo. The flash reflection distracts greatly.

I think the eye color, but also the fact that you *can* see me (and the flash) makes the image. I'm just getting into macro and probably wouldn't have submitted this without the camera being visible in the pupil.
