Interesting. I'm not sure how it fits into the theme, but it must be someone's dream so there ya go. I like the almost hidden faces on the right!

I quite like this one, it has a nice sixties feel to it, very nice light.

I think because of the colours and light, the old fashioned bus and because of the boy, it made me think of the "I have a dream" speach.

To try to put that in context, I'm not from America and my association with the speach is from media montages, Martin Luthers voice over images from the sixties of the civil rights movement and African Americans in everyday life.

tommyblue--the 'dream' for this was the young boy's. what was he thinking, what are his dreams, who will he become, etc. i took a much different route than most on this theme i guess. :)

phototext--yes, others had a very similar response to it when i posted it on my photoblog. a few said it could have been taken yesterday or several decades ago. i too, am not african-american, nor was i alive during that time, but have been deeply moved and inspired by the writings, speeches and photographs from the civil rights movement. i did not intend for this image to be a tribute to dr. king when i took it, but love (albeit humbly) that interpretation as i too believe in his dream for our future.

thank you both for your thoughts!!
