I have get the feeling like this is a very kind young person with lots to look forward to... it's all in the eyes. Very nicely done with the very soft blur except for the details in her face.

I rather like the actual portrait... the eyes certainly draw some attention. But I think the border is unnecessary and distracting.

Yes, it is a little distracting. I like them though.

Also, I wanted everyone to know how hard I worked getting the front lens tilt right with the 4x5 :)

The shallow DoF works well, but the catchlight in her eyes look odd to me. I'm not a fan of the border myself and the tight cropping at the top feels uncomfortable to me.

i love the details in the eyes, however i think there's too much of her neck showing, and not enough of the top of her head.
