I don't really get a feel for the subject from this. It might have been more effective if we could see her face. Her fingers seem a bit over sharpened as well.

Hiding the face works for me, it just adds to the atmosphere of this portrait. Just goes to show in a successful portrait you do not have to show the facial features.

This is nice, but since no facial features at all are visible, it doesn't show any emotional component to me. Except for the painted nails I couldn't even tell for certain if the subject was male or female.

I could see this as a stock photo that would be used in a variety of instances. I'm not too keen on the framing. The tone and quality are lovely.

Shashin, I'm so embarrassed. I was wondering if anyone was going to catch it. The oversharpening is totally due to my lazyness. I had it on my blog, but needed to resize it for Weekly Shot. So instead of going back to the .psd file, I took the .jpg from the site, resized it, and THEN resharpened it. After uploading it I realized it was totally oversharpened. Her hair looks terrible compared to the way I intended it.

Thanks everyone for commenting. Hopefully I will get some more ratings in the next few hours to see what my average talley is.
