I really can't tell the relevence here. It's tough to tell if it is, indeed broken.

Also, the focus seems a bit soft. Was that intentional?

The blurriness makes it hard for me to tell what exactly is broken on this lens. It seems OK to me. What am I missing?

I think its obvious: there is no 2 pieces 50 mm lens on the market (yet) ;). Thank you all.

That other piece looks like the back end lens cap to me. I still don't see what's broken.

Gutted. I hate to see broken camera equipment. I don't like the soft processing, the crop, or the vignette on this one. It just doesn't fit the subject.
