Harsh contrast but it works very well. Love the lines.

Curiously, captivating shot. Not sure about the crop, but otherwise it is the composition that makes it for me.

Nice and contrasty - good BW

Great shot, Vernon. One question, two observations. There seems to be a slight halo around the nearest lamp post, the one on the left...is that just my monitor? If not, what is causing that? (It is probably my monitor).

Along the upper right edge of the image, you can see that your layers were not aligned when you cropped this image to save as JPEG, I think.

Is there a density difference in the clouds under the middle section of the bridge? Seems unnaturally lighter. Is that my monitor again?

Am I being too picky? Except for the layer alignment, I'm just curious. I *really* like this photo.

King,

I can't see the halo around the lamppost.

Ja, és Vernon: remek kép! Gratula!

George said 563 days ago:

King, I don't see a halo around that lamppost. I see one around the highest point of the right support structure. I hadn't noticed the layering effect, but now I see the same effect on the bottom left. At any rate, you asked five questions and made three observations. (Not that I'm counting...)

VernonTrent said 563 days ago:

@king
the "halo" comes from resizing/compression & excessive sharpen.

there is a border around this pic, like a "facet border" on some mirrors/windows.
upper right AND lower left is more visible :-)

@all
thanks for your feedback and feature.

Vernon,
I *always* learn from you. You don't often add such borders to your images, do you? One of the WS contributors is (can't remember who) is/was known for his borders and surface textures.
Thanks,
