A tad blown out on the edge - nice work - carefully thought out and composed.

ArneG said 397 days ago:

Yeah - I knew that was you

looking good!

flipthom said 397 days ago:

Yes. This is just fantastic.

stolenlife said 397 days ago:

Nice simple image. I like the rim lights on the stand

Ana said 397 days ago:

if the lighting on the vase were less harsh, this would be perfectly perfect.

AliceMarie said 397 days ago:

I love how simple it is....just beautiful!

DrDavidJones said 397 days ago:

I would have liked to see a little more of the table.

I gave this all 5's, because it is an artful well composed technically striking piece. I don't have a connection to it emotionally, but I think its wonderfully done.

Beamer said 397 days ago:

This is quite powerful!! I like it a lot. My curiosity wants to see it without the white stick/stem, just the vase and the base. High marks.

Hey there Vernon, missed seeing this altogether before it hit the front page. Sissy is visiting and spending the night with the little one and banned be from the computer - she is in the bathroom so I took a peek. ;-)))

Congrats, I love this shot, all of them.

Well deserved Vernon. It's a fabulous photo!

VT, you know I've always admired this shot and I'm happy to see it here. It shows your mastery of composition and light. You certainly don't 'just take pictures.' This is fine art in the truest sense.
BTW, I really like that you cannot see 'more of the table.'

@ana
light reflections on white surfaces are always harsh. specialy when it's surrounded by black.
the same shot without b/w conversion has a different "harshness" :-)
make a try by yourself :)

@drdavidjones
the table is a speaker, this shot is a study about forms. (lines & curves)

@beamer
there are more shots. with and without sticks and with other "human forms" :) check my website :)

@all
thanks for your feedback and the feature
