I really like your composition..really neat and sharp..well done

Its a very beautiful image, just a shame for me that the left landscape side isn't lit as wonderfull as the right. Beautiful colours!
Ana said 669 days ago:
I like that the two sides have different lighting. It actually gives a feeling of having two choices up ahead. Go to the dark side!
JIMJIM said 669 days ago:
I agree with you Ana, I like the idea of having the choice between the positive right and the negative left...This MAKES the Image !!
(but still don't know if I will choose the dark side! like you ;)

Wow! Adide from the tranquility and beauty this conveys, top marks for composition - I love the way the bow meshes with the inverted "V" of the reflection, and all the lines draw you in. Wonderful shot.

Ana, I like your take on it!

Stunning.

Very crisp, clear, and technically perfect shot. The colors are stunning and I love the placid quality.

Congrats on the feature Dan!
I can't add much to the acclaim above. A stunning image and total aloneness. (As opposed to some of the submitted images of people alone, who by virtue of being photographed are not truly alone, this one does it perfectly).

Gorgeous image!

It seems to me that, given a single sun, the lighting (i.e., the source, size, direction and intensity of the light) is the same on both sides of the photo. The angle of view may differ and the landscape may reflect the light differently from one side to the other, but the lighting is the same.
Other than that nitpicking point, what Ana says is what I say: *plus quam perfectum*

Thank you all for your fabulous feedback. It's much appreciated.
I shot this from the bow of my Dad's boat while on our yearly fishing trip. Though I shared this shot in the theme of "Alone", I was all but alone. Instead, filled with joy to have the opportunity to share this special time with my Dad. Aren't photos fabulous? Though they can convey a specific theme, they are never anything more than a starting point to many possible stories.
(Think I'm going to print this one up for my Dad and drop it under the Christmas tree.)

I love the calm water and the reflection.
Polarising filter ? Sky is a bit too blue :)
