maybe a little crop left it impeccable

@ aryk - Huh? Please explain.

Very nice, and relevant too. Perhaps it need just a slight rotation counterclockwise to get the horizon straight?
jbron said 632 days ago:
Too bad the horizon line isn't horizontal...

I always think it's funny when people comment on the horizon. I didn't even see the slight tilt, but that's probably because my eye went directly down the pier and to the person. Then to the colours. Sometimes the land on the other side swerves in, and it really isn't straight. I guess that's preference?

such amazing lighting here. that looks like a perfect spot to be alone, in a very good way.

Hmmm.....it is indeed crooked. I hadn't noticed it either; and I normally do notice that type of thing because it's a common occurrance anytime I use a tripod. Thanks for commenting everyone!

Crooked or not, it is a great image.
@Ana Unfortunately, I am "cursed" with an eye that immediately identifies lines that are slightly off horizontal or vertical but that are supposed to be horizontal or vertical. I deal with construction alot, and it drives my contractors crazy. I can actually SEE things that are out of level by as little as 1/8th inch over a span of 20 feet. People will argue with me that I am crazy, but when we stick a bubble level on it, sure enough, it is out-of-level. So, unfortunately for me, my eye tends to go straight to things that are out-of-level/out-of-vertical first. In many cases, I wish I was able to see things in the order that you outlined above. I also totally agree with the last part of your comment. However, in this case, a water horizon is a major part of the background, and water horizons are always horizontal....

I think the horizon is not as noticeable since the clouds in the sky are tilting in that same direction. a bit of trickery to the eye. I did not immediately notice the horizon until reading the comments.
I think this is fantastic. great color and lines.

This is really great. It certainly says "alone."
